Truck hijacked in South Coast Road

Vehicles targeted in crimes.

THIEVES targeted vehicles in South Durban recently, with a truck hijacked and goods stolen from six cars.

On South Coast Road, on Friday, 10 July, a truck was hijacked at an oil company in Mobeni. Five men forced the driver and his assistant to take them to the Gleblands Hostel where they offloaded cargo.

Police were able to track down and arrest one of the men and the investigation is ongoing.

Monday, 6 July saw four tyres and rims stolen from a parked car in Alden Road, while on Wednesday, 7 July tyres, amps and a GPS system were stolen in Roland Chapman Drive and spare wheels were stolen in South Coast Road.

On Wednesday, 8 July in Clairwood, batteries were stolen in one theft and boots, IDs and a mobile phone were taken in another.

And finally, on Thursday 9 July a company jacket was taken from a car in Woodlands.
