Thieves target businesses

Business robberies in South Durban.

THE Montclair policing area experienced a series of business break-ins during the week of Tuesday to Monday, 7 to 13 July, with everything from cash to vehicles to spare parts being targeted.

On 7 July in Seaward Road in Clairwood light fittings and cables and copper were taken from a business.

On the same day, in Mobeni, at about 4.30pm, 24 truck tyres were stolen from a manufacturing company.

A security guard doing his rounds noticed they were missing.

During the week spares and an air conditioner were stolen in Bacus Road and tools were stolen in South Coast Road in Clairwood.

On Friday, 10 July, a bakkie, cash and mobile phone were stolen in Blamey Road after four men held up a shop and on Monday, 13 July in Sigamoney Road, copper fittings were stolen.
