BLUFFITE Riaan da Horta did his bit to save lives when he made his 125th donation at the Southway Mall Donor Clinic on Tuesday, 14 July.
Enrolled nurse, Nobubele Mlahlwa gladly helped da Horta through the milestone donation as blood stocks remain low during the winter months.
“We congratulate Riaan on this wonderful achievement. He challenges all who are eligible to donate to go and ‘make a difference’ especially in light of Mandela Day as we look for ways to give our 67 minutes,” said clinic supervisor, Cheryl Clack.
Blood donors must be at least 16-years-old, weigh more than 50kg, be in good health and lead a sexually safe lifestyle. Sister Clack also urges donors to commit themselves to regular blood donation and to have a snack prior to blood donation.
