Police treat local residents to a morning of fun.

MONTCLAIR SAPS in partnership with the Victim Support Centre hosted a morning of entertainment for local senior citizens on Mandela Day, 18 July.

The excited residents were treated to snacks, tea and lucky draws as they gathered at a local Methodist church. Communications officer, Warrant officer Poobalan Marimuthu, excitedly welcomed the guests to the event as the police and volunteers did their bit in honour of Mandela Day.

Then it was on to the lucky draw, which saw many of the guests walk away with vouchers and gifts. Thereafter W/O Murimuthu opened the floor to the senior citizens, allowing them the opportunity to mention any concerns they have regarding the community and the police.

After an animated discussion, the guests were invited to join the volunteers for tea, cake and snacks and to enjoy a morning of entertainment.
