Clairwood resident stabbed to death

Police need help tracking down killer.

POLICE need help tracking down a man for the Sunday, 5 July murder of a Clairwood man.

While at a friend’s house Ameel ‘Diddy Boy’ Shaik and his wife were told a man had just come by and said their house, was being broken into. They could not find the man who had passed on the information but decided to go check on their home in Pine Road.

When they got there they noticed a man had followed them. According to Shaik’s wife the man asked him about the whereabouts of a car, which he said he knew nothing about.

At this point the man started hitting Shaik in the chest. He then stabbed him multiple times in the neck and fled. Shaik was taken to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The attacker is described as a short and stubby black man. During the attack he wore dark clothing and a beanie. Anyone with information on the murder should contact Warrant Officer Grobler on 073-434-4396.
