Dangers of social media talk

Meeting to educate people on safe internet use.

PUBLISHED counter-trafficking practitioner, Dr Monique Emser will address the dangers of the internet and social media in a seminar hosted by the Brighton Beach Victim Friendly Facility (BBVFF) on Saturday, 18 July.

With social media being such a major part of daily life, the BBVFF aims to educate people on the potential dangers of the internet. Dr Emser, who is a member of the KZN Human Trafficking, Prostitution, Pornography and Brothels Task Team and is affiliated to the University of Free State as a research associate in the department of criminal and medical law will speak to the gathering.

The seminar will be held at the Brighton Beach SAPS boardroom from 9am to noon. Light refreshments will be provided. Seats are limited, so contact Bronwyn Petzer by email info@bbvff.org.za or call 072-329-3692 to book.
