Man falls to death after surviving crash
A similar tragedy played out in Amanzimtoti just a few weeks ago.
FOLLOWING a minor crash on the M4 near Quality Street, a man who was giving information to police, was killed after another car smashed into the crash site on Saturday, 27 June.
The man, who was in his thirties, was a passenger in a car which had been in a collision with another.
At about 7pm, while he was speaking to two police officers, a car careened into them. He lost his balance and fell over the bridge railing and landing on the road below.
According to Rescue Care operations director, Garrith Jamieson paramedics found the man had suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead on the scene. The policemen suffered only minor injuries and were taken to hospital for further care.
