ETHEKWINI Municipality’s pollution control and risk management department hosts a Durban South public meeting on the draft assessment for the air quality management plan on Wednesday, 20 May.
The department is revising the 2007 air quality management plan in line with the requirements of the National Environmental Management Air Quality Act. With the first phase almost complete, the draft baseline assessment report is set to be presented to the public.
The meeting will be at the old Durban International Airport from 5pm to 8.30pm. Meetings will also be held at the Tongaat town hall on Tuesday, 19 May and Pinetown Civic Centre on Tuesday, 26 May. Both are also from 5pm to 8.30pm.
