Raptor rehab enclosures receive revamp

The department team of 40 people decided to use Crow for their team building.

ETHEKWINI Development Engineering Department took time out to revamp the raptor rehab enclosures at the Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (Crow) on Friday, 24 April.

The department team of 40 people decided to use Crow for their team building. “Dividing themselves into five very enthusiastic and competitive teams, our raptor enclosures were given a complete make-over with indigenous plants and rockeries,” said marketing and communications officer, Paul Hoyte.
He added that Crow welcomes companies, schools or special interest groups who wish to do a volunteer project at the centre. “We recently had a group from Kearsney College who helped us clear rocks out of one of our enclosures and have a group from the Durban Youth Council coming through this weekend,” said Hoyte

“At the end of the day the Crow team were blown away by their hard work and had the difficult decision of choosing the winning team. On behalf of our raptor patients, who are the real winners here, we would like to say a very big thank you to everyone who lent a hand on the day,” he said.
