Military beach festival planned for weekend

Bluff beach festival this weekend.

THE Bluff military base will play host to a beach festival that is open to the public on Friday and Saturday, 24 and 25 April.

The festival will be held at the old whaling station at the military base and will include many events and entertainment.

On Friday night from 6pm at a cost of R50 per person there will a jazz festival and on Saturday, from 5pm there will be a beer garden with live music, at a cost of R20 per person.

Food stalls, cash bars and jumping castles will be on offer throughout the day on Saturday, along with an Angling competition from 7am to 2pm. Entry into the competition is R100 for seniors and R50 for juniors, aged up to 13. First place for seniors wins R3,000, second gets R1,500 and third R1,000. Juniors win R1,000 for first place, R800 for second and R500 for third.
