Montclair Seniors Club celebrates 41 years

The tea women were thanked for the bumper refreshment table they had set out for party time

ABBEY welcomed all to the 41st birthday meeting of the Montclair Senior Citizens Club, especially each of the visitors.

She expressed the club’s sympathy to Roger and his family on the loss of his small son.

Roy then opened the meeting with devotions, reflecting on the fact that great moments often appear insignificant at the time.

Members who celebrated their birthdays this month were wished a happy day. Members then had the usual competition draw and Isobel, Colin and Angela had jokes to share.

Members were reminded to visit the sales table and thanked for donating their change into the charity box. The tea women were thanked for the bumper refreshment table they had set out for party time. Members were asked again to think seriously about the need for a president.

Next month members are to meet from 10am to 10.30am for tea before those who have paid for lunch proceed on the annual outing.

The club meeting rounded off with an incredible, polished performance by the Bessie Williams singers. What a treat.
