Free ECD training for SDB locals

Free training for locals in ECD sector.

A JOINT operation between Unisa’s Chance 2 Advance programme, Save the Children SA and the South Durban Basin (SDB) Area Based Management (ABM) office will see free early childhood development (ECD) training for locals.

Since 2012 Unisa has offered ECD training for teachers, child minders and crèche workers in the SDB. In May, another round of training will see even more people equipped with the tools to help young children.

The free training will give preference to ECD workers from the Bluff, Jacobs, Clairwood, Merebank, Isipingo, Isipingo Hills, Lotus Park and Dakota beach.

It runs from 4 to 8 May from 8am to 3.30pm at 22 Stratford Road at the iTrump Office, Warwick Junction Project Centre.
