Family continue 11 year search for missing woman

A BEREFT Bluff woman is still searching for her missing niece, 11 years after her disappearance in Newlands East.

Tarryn Hill nee Williams was last seen in June 2004 and her family are hoping someone might have information on her disappearance so they might have closure. Her aunt, Violet Callaghan and sister, Michelle Tucker, have renewed efforts to search for Tarryn and say the family has never fully recovered from the loss.

“We have not been coping at all – when we put our heads down to sleep we wonder what has happened to her. Her daughters were babies when she went missing and now both are young teenagers in high school. It is very sad because I have to look at my nieces daily with a heartache, knowing that they long to be with their mother,” said Tucker.

Tarryn, who was 19 at the time, was allegedly taking her husband to rehab on the day of her disappearance. A case was opened at Newlands East SAPS.

“She was a good, caring mother, which the community knows, and would never leave her children just like that. We pray that God would really help us all to find some closure,” said Tucker.

“She left behind two children she adored. It was 11 years ago now, but we are hoping someone will remember something from that day,” added Callaghan.

Anyone with any information should contact Michelle Tucker on 072-092-6695.
