Medieval feast aids rehabilitation centre

All proceeds raised will be put towards the care and treatment of its wildlife patients.

GREENSLEEVES at the Camelot Medieval Kingdom was a hive of activity on Saturday, 4 March as a themed feast in aid of the Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (Crow) got underway. All proceeds raised will be put towards the care and treatment of its wildlife patients.

Crow supporters came out ready for a fun-filled evening of medieval festivities, from knights in full armour to the baron and his troubadours singing the night away, and they were certainly not disappointed.
Speaking on behalf of the organisation, Crow’s marketing and communications officer, Paul Hoyte said: “The evening was extremely entertaining, you really do feel immersed in medieval culture, from having to send maidens to beg the king for salt, to eating with your hands. Our supporters were not shy and got in character quickly. We are very thankful to Tracy and her team at Greensleeves who really came to the party, helping us ensure the evening’s success.”

Before the energetic crowd danced the night away there was a raffle draw which saw supporters walk away with restaurant vouchers sponsored by the Keg and Trout and Primi Piatti in Hillcrest, 2015 Born Free calendars and for the main prize, season tickets for the Sharks, as well as membership to the Season Ticket Holders Association.
Crow is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year and will be hosting a variety of events throughout the year.
