WECDF member will be missed

WECDF pays tribute to one of their own.

THE Wentworth Early Childhood Development Forum (WECDF) bade farewell to “mischievous” and “passionate” member, Beryl Boderick-Joshua who died on Monday, 12 January.

“She was a dear friend, sister and mum to the many who loved her. She had a cheerful, loving spirit and always put the needs of others first. Beryl was naughty and had an infectious laugh and mischievous wink,” said WECDF member, Romany Roberts.

WECDF members said they will miss the celebrated member of the community and of their forum, who always led their Christmas carols and welcomed people into her home. “We will always remember her love for her babies in her centre and for the ladies in the forum. Perhaps what best describes Beryl is that she was a strong woman of faith and a woman who tirelessly served,” said Roberts.

Laurelle Cook, chairman of the WECDF added: “We are saddened with her death but are also filled with wonderful memories of the joyful times we spent with Beryl – in our meetings, in training with government officials and at our annual Women’s Day and Christmas celebrations. She will be sorely missed.”
