SUNDAY, 1 FEBRUARY: Free public talk at 10am at the Theosophical Society, 306 Avondale Road, Morningside, Durban.

Shirley Moon, a long-time member of the Sufi Movement in South Africa, will give a lecture entitled ”the rose garden’.

Mrs Moon has been a student of Hazrat Inayat Khan’s teachings for over 20 years and this lecture is inspirational and timeless.

 

MONDAY, 2 FEBRUARY: Stainbank Women’s Institute will host its first meeting of the year at the Yellowwood Park Civic Centre at 9am for 9.30am. All welcome.

 

THURSDAY, 12 FEBRUARY: The KwaZulu-Natal branch of the South African Military History Society meets at 7pm for 7.30pm. The venue will be the Murray Lecture Theatre, Department of Civil Engineering, University of KwaZulu-Natal Howard College Campus.

The speakers are Roy Bowman on ‘The Battle of Santa Cruz, 25th October 1942’ and Dr Alex Coutts on ‘Shaka – his military career’.
