Garden club prepares to meet.

The first meeting for the new year will be on 12 February, at the Pigeon Club, Tara Road at 9.30am.

NATALIA Garden Club’s meeting on 25 November, incorporated a Christmas function, so there was little club activities.

Caroline opened the meeting with a prayer and welcomed members present. A minute’s silence was observed for Betty McGeorge, who died earlier that month. Betty was one of the founder members of the club and was always busy with something. She will be greatly missed.

Everyone had brought snacks and there was a lovely variety of food. Birthday wishes and gifts went to those who celebrated in December.

The Christmas cake raffle was won by Chris Lombaard, Marie Kenchenten’s brother.

Paul Hoyte, from CROW did an interesting slide show presentation. Vonnie Smith’s son, Adrian, entertained with a magic show and there were some other items put on by Yvonne Lane and some of the club members.
