WARD 68 is set to shine as the South Durban Basin (SDB) Area Based Management (ABM) office hosts a clean-up campaign on Tuesday, 9 December.
Widespread illegal dumping and uncleanliness has led to the SDB ABM in partnership with ward 68’s (Wentworth) Operation Sukuma Sakhe (OSS) team co-ordinating a clean-up campaign.
“The intention is to bind the pride and devotion that already exists among the people of the SDB in order to drive the campaign forward by creating a clean environment, resolving service delivery challenges, intensifying enforcement of bylaws and conducting an education drive to change and influence attitudes,” said Sizakala Customer Service Centre marketing officer, Skholiwe Msweli.
The clean-up will start at 11am at the Merebank Community Centre, 2 Dhawar Road and run until 3pm.
