Seniors delightfully entertained by pupils

Members were asked to pass the word to those not present that our Christmas Party will be held on 11 December which is the second Thursday.

DEACON George opened the Montclair Senior Citizens meeting with devotions during which members answered difficult questions regarding faith.

Trish Braum surprised the club with a visit to bid members farewell as she and her husband are relocating to Plettenberg Bay. Naomi expressed appreciation for the many times Trish has entertained us with her lovely singing and special flair. We will miss her dreadfully but wish her well.

We broke early for tea to give the children from Montclair Primary School plenty of time for their full programme. We loved their obvious enjoyment of entertaining us and were amazed at their clear diction. They even obliged us by responding to calls for encores. Their last song prompted us to agree with Naomi that they had given us a ‘Happy Day’.

Tickets for the community lunch were available for those who qualified.

It is not necessary for members to take snacks as the club will provide them, but they will collect the usual R5 for tea. Stainbank Women’s Institute Choir will entertain.
