Cars careen down bank in N2 crash

Rescue Care paramedics received numerous calls from bystanders.

THREE people sustained various injuries after two cars collided on the N2 southbound after the M7 at about 8pm on Tuesday, 14 October.
Both vehicles veered off the road and landed at the bottom of a 20-metre embankment.

Rescue Care paramedics received numerous calls from bystanders. “On arrival they found two vehicles had collided and were down a 20-metre embankment. One person was found still in the vehicle sustaining serious injuries,” said operations director, Garrith Jamieson.
SAPS search and rescue and Durban Fire were called to assist in bringing the patient to the roadside. The injured were stabilised on scene and transported by Rescue Care to various Durban hospitals.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
