SPONSORS are needed for the first annual Wentworth cancer walk to be held on Saturday, 11 October.
The Blue Roof Wellness Centre, South Durban Community Environmental Alliance and Mothers Prayers Group have combined efforts to put together the walk, which is aimed at highlighting the increase in the number of cancer patients in the South Durban Basin.
“The event will help galvanise our community, so we ask that families join the walk. The day promises to be fun-packed with walkers joining in a ‘dance for life’,” said one of the event organisers, Romany Roberts.
The event will take place from 8.30am to noon on Saturday, 11 October, starting at the Badulla Road sports grounds and ending at the Highbury Road sports grounds.
