Woodlands BC Champion of Champions bowlers bow out

The meat draw on Friday night was won by Bradley Jenkins, Stan Mc Namara and Derek Andreason.

IT was a very quiet week for Woodlands Bowling Club with not much happening on Saturday, as Arthur and Lynn Carlyle moved back to the area and the women’s and men’s club champions, Rina Harper and Norman Moore played in the Port Natal Champions of Champions competition that started over the weekend.

Rina started off very well in the first round and was in the lead up until the last three ends when she lost her weight and lost the game.

Norman Moore won his first round but lost his game in the second round. The club congratulates both of them for representing Woodlands. On Wednesday, 6 August is the any pairs competition. To enter a team, call Linda Hewer on 082-724-6575.

On Thursday, 7 August is the casual fours breakfast, both in muftis. To enter a team, call Arthur Carlyle on 076-058-87377. The club is very happy that Eleanor Stewart is out of hospital and gaining her strength at home. Everyone looks forward to seeing her back at the club soon.

The meat draw on Friday night was won by Bradley Jenkins, Stan Mc Namara and Derek Andreason.

E de la Peyre’s name was drawn for the snowball but it is a carry-over until next Friday.

The swindle raffle was won by Cobus Janse van Vuuren, Karyn Wallace, Abie Joubert twice, Lyndon Smith, Trevor du Plessis twice and Brian Elliott twice.

The lotto bonus ball went to George Moore. The club sends well wishes to PJ Sparks. Hope you feel better soon.
