Man sought in rape case
It is believed the man can assist authorities with their investigation.
A 44-YEAR-old woman was raped along Alamein Avenue, Woodlands on Monday, 16 June.
The woman was lost and asked a man who was walking by for directions. The man offered to take her where she was going, but along the way turned on her. He strangled and overpowered her, forcing her into some bushes where he raped her. Before fleeing, he stole her money.
A case of rape was opened at Montclair SAP it is being investigated by Brighton Beach Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS). Police appeal to anyone who may know the whereabouts of the man in the photograph to call investigating officer, Detective Cst Zanele Sithole on 031-469-8203 or 078-231-6 543 or Crime Stop o. 08600-10111.
