Woodlands relishes good shirts and skirts bowls turn-out

WOW, what a good turnout for the shirts and skirts bowls on Sunday at Woodlands Bowling Club.

First session winners on a 2+6 were Denis Gericke, Keith Wild, Greg McGuinness and Herbie Roux.

Second session winners on 2+10 were Mike McFarland, Joe McNamara, Jumbo Nel and Dave Mathews.

Overall winners on a 4+26 were Arnie and Rina Harper, Terry Brown and Lynn Carlyle. The meat raffle was won by Eleanor Stewart.

Drawn prizes went to skip Eric Smit, third Brian Hollis, second John Yunnie and lead Chantale Hearnshaw. Linda Hewer won the first money board of R40 and also snapped up the R20 from the second money board. Chris Klopper took the R40 from the second money board, with Gwen Tait getting the scraps of the first money board of R20.

The club thanks everyone for their support.

On Friday night the winners of the meat draw were Sharon Hall, Cobus Janse van Vuuren and Rodger Turner

Gloria Rice’s name was drawn for the snowball but as she was not there, it is a carry over.

The swindle was won by Merle Hughes and Cobus Janse van Vuuren.
