WBC mourns death of Richard Gill

It is hoped that Willie Gericke is fine after his game on Wednesday, he played such a hard game that he was bleeding.

WENTWORTH Bowling Club’s family and friends fun bowls was played on Wednesday, 11 June, with first prize going to Terry Micholson and Bernadette Pool.

Sportsman’s prize was taken by Dirk Venter and Margaret Walters.

The 60/40 board was won by Krystal and Spider. Welcome to Bernadette and Anne.

Results from the men’s Friday casual bowls played on 13 June will be announced in the next issue, due to earlier newspaper deadline.

Brian Smith had a knee replacement, and the club wishes him a speedy recovery at home. Condolences to Elsie, Tim, Michelle, all family and friends with the death of beloved Richard Gill, members’ thoughts and prayers are with you all. The wake for Richard will be at Wentworth Bowling Club on Thursday, 19 June at 4pm.

Wednesday, 18 June family and friends fun bowls at 3pm, all welcome;

Thursday, 19 June Richard Gill’s wake at 4pm;

Friday, 20 June men’s casual bowls at 9am.
