VIDEO: Get ready for goosebumps!

There’s few moments that unite South Africans as much as the singing of the multilingual national anthem before a big sports match.

Last weekend’s epic rugby game in Cape Town was a testimony to South African pride as the Springboks took on and thumped the World XV.

However, an even bigger moment preceded the kick-off, when the national anthem and pride raised the roof when the public address system at Newlands Stadium failed.

It could have been an embarrassing moment as Kurt Darren’s voice faded into obscurity… But instead, the Bok supporters in the stands savoured the opportunity to be heard – and heard they were!

See the change on the faces of the Springbok players, once the PA system fails at about 1:05 minutes in – and see the joy as they hear the crescendo building – priceless!

No doubt the boys in green and gold were buoyed to victory by the thundering crowd’s nationalism. Way to go South Africa!
