Trolleys of food donations to help Bluff’s needy

Generous shoppers help feed families in need on the Bluff.

THREE trolleys full of food will help support seven families in need for three months, thanks to the generosity of Bluff shoppers.

On Saturday, 31 May Curves Bluff launched a food drive assisted by Adri van Wyk from Bluff Helping Hands and Bluff COP members at the Hillside Mall.

They appealed to shoppers to donate non-perishable food items bought at Pick ‘n Pay and in two hours, from 9am to 11am they had three trolleys brimming with food.

They thank the community for their support and to Pick ‘n Pay for allowing them to do the event.

“The amount of food we have collected to date will feed the seven families we support for three months. This warms our hearts to think that these families can go to bed with a full stomach in winter,” said van Wyk.
