WI members sing along with Trish

We are so fortunate to have that beautiful reserve in our midst.

STAINBANK Women’s Institute vice president, Linda Hewer was magnificent in her role, as she stood in for the president who is away on holiday.

Despite having had a bad bout of bronchitis, Linda did a sterling job in welcoming all guests and judges, May and Hazel.

The minutes and a card from Joyce Andrews was read and a thank you from St Etheldreda’s feeding scheme. The able treasurer read out the finance report. Many thanks to the volunteers who went to assist at Coedmore Castle.

Locals are so fortunate to have that beautiful reserve in their midst. Maureen Lavis, executive member, told everyone about the arrangements for congress. Members thank their delegate for attending on their behalf.

The WI needs raffles for the draw every month and for the big birthday party, which is just around the corner. The next group meeting will be held during August and Stainbank will host the event. Happy birthday to birthday members and to Monica Wilson on her anniversary. Hazel Demo was given a special thought as she has marked a big milestone. The WI needs tea volunteers for the birthday party on Tuesday, l July and two plates of meats from members. Thank you to all members who brought for Salvation Army. Maureen Lavis will be taking all the goodies for Evelyn House to the next exco meeting.

Then it was time for Trish Braun to brighten everyone’s day with her beautiful voice and many songs that members joined in with. Thank you Trish.
