Rally behind police safety initiative
STRATEGIES have been implemented by Brighton Beach SAPS to address housebreak-ins.
Along with Park Patrol Security, Tactical Security, ADT Security and Blue Security, the police station will be placing response vehicles in areas that are of concern. In support of this safety initiative Southlands Sun will keep readers informed with updates with crime alerts and updates from Brighton Beach SAPS and security companies.
Brochures with safety guidelines will be distributed on how to prevent burglaries and robberies. These brochures will be distributed by ‘knock and drop’ with police dropping off brochures into residents’ post boxes at homes, flats and businesses. Brochures can also be collected at Hillside Mall, Bluff and Bluff Towers.
Foot patrols and blue light patrols will also be intensified to help curb crime.
Captain Le Roux of Brighton Beach SAPS appeals to the community to support the safety initiative. ‘I ask home-owners to support the police in our strategy to address housebreak-ins.” She said.
