Pepper-spray armed runner appeals to dog owners

I have already been bitten on one occasion.

EDITOR – Through the medium of your newspaper, I would like to make a serious appeal to dog owners in Montclair, Woodlands and Yellowwood Park.

I am a runner and am constantly being bothered by dogs running loose when I run in the area.

I have already been bitten on one occasion. It is only because I carry pepper spray that I was able to prevent serious injury. There are many other runners, cyclists and pedestrians out there and it’s not fair to expose us to the risk of being bitten whenever we take to the road. Some of these dogs are seriously aggressive. These animals’ owners must ensure their dogs are kept inside their property.

That is a responsibility one undertakes when having a dog. Otherwise one day there may be a serious incident.
