Guided walkers conduct animal census

The next guided walk will be held on Saturday, 26 April with a 7am start.

THE honorary officers for Emevelo KZN Wildlife held their guided walk on Saturday, 12 April in perfect conditions, as the summer heat is a thing of the past.

The two-hour walk is suited for everybody, as the pace is slow and easy.

The river view site is beautiful as the Umhlatuzana River cascades over the rapids.

The next guided walk will be held on Saturday, 26 April with a 7am start. The cost of the walk is only R20 per person, which includes the reserve entrance fee.

The honorary officers thank everyone for their support.

Among the wildlife spotted in Stainbank Nature Reserve are the following which have been recorded: 200-plus species of birds; nine species of snakes; 11 frogs; one toad; 11 fish; two chameleons; seven lizards; a terrapin and some 160-plus insects.
