DURBAN Ramblers Hiking Club Saturday and Sunday programme for the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, 26 and 27 April.
On Saturday, Ramblers hike to Redhill.
Call hike leader Jon Stevens on 082-459-1522. Hikers will meet at Jon's house, 180 Park Road, Redhill to travel to and enjoy an easy, urban walk taking in historic houses, a cemetery and other interesting features. Take along drinks to enjoy afterwards at Jon's house. There is no short hike planned. This hike is graded as strenuous over a distance of 9km.
On Sunday, 27 April take a Freedom Day holiday hike to Kirk Falls, Delville Wood. Confirm wth hike leader Jon Stevens on 082-459-1522.
Meet at Union Main Centre, Old Main Road, Pinetown (one-way system for access) for a prompt 8am departure. Hike along pathways through indigenous bush, grassland and tunnels. The strenuous, 15km hike starts from Clifton Country House and costs R15 per person petrol-sharing.
