Missing Montclair girl found bruised and battered

Truck driver drove schoolgirl to a bushy area.

A six-year-old Montclair girl who was reported missing at Montclair SAP on Monday, 10 March was found in the early hours of Tuesday morning, bruised and battered.

The schoolgirl was last seen in her white school uniform, walking up Blamey Road after school. It is alleged a truck driver lured her into his vehicle and drove off with her in the direction of Bayhead. The man drove to a bushy area, where he tied her up and wrapped plastic around her mouth to prevent her from screaming.

The young girl managed to free herself and walked around looking for help. She was found at about 2.30am by workers in the container terminal. Her face was swollen and she had sustained bruises on her body. Police were called and she was taken to hospital.

At the time of press, no further details were available. Brighton Beach SAP are investigating further.
