Two arrested for house-breaking

Two men were arrested by the Durban South K9 Unit for a house-breaking in Umhlanga.

THE Durban South K9 Unit arrested two men on Wednesday, 5 March for house-breaking and theft in Umhlanga.

The officers attended the scene of the housebreaking in Kingston Road and were informed by security guards of the direction in which the thieves fled. A search of the area quickly revealed the two men, who were arrested and searched. Police found a laptop, Nikon camera, two flat screen TVs and other electronic equipment in their bags.

KZN provincial commissioner, Lieutenant General Mmamonnye Ngobeni commended the officers for the arrests and the recovery of the stolen items. “Members of the community must work hand-in-hand with the police to report the criminal activities in their areas.”
