A JOINT operation, including Brighton Beach SAP, led to the five liquor outlet owners being charged on Saturday, 18 January.

Brighton Beach SAP liquor officer Warrant Officer Theo van Noordwyk, the KZN Liquor Authority, eThekwini Business Licensing Department and eThekwini Fire Department conducted operations, which led to the charges for contravening the conditions of liquor licenses.

“We will be initiating more of these operations within the Brighton Bach Policing area on a continuous basis. Members of the community are invited to report illegal alcohol trading, such as shebeens and registered liquor outlets trading in contravention of liquor license stipulations.
