Provincial commissioner engages station commanders

Provincial commissioner, Lt-Gen Mmamonnye Ngobeni will meet all provincial managers and cluster commanders on Monday, 27 January, where feedback on performance levels for the first nine months of the financial year will be discussed.

Commanders will also comment on measures taken to curb the rampage of crime over the festive season.

A discussion with managers and station commanders will be held the following day on Tuesday, 28 January. An opportunity will be given to station commanders to disclose their daily challenges as plans how to overcome them. The discussions come after the commissioner met with all managers on all levels on Thursday, 21 November 2013. The aim of engaging management is to ensure the police force achieves its vision of a safer province.

“If we fail to deal with crime effectively, government will be hampered in its efforts to build our economy and stimulate growth and development in the country. Therefore, it is in the interests of all parties that crime is engaged through whatever means possible and be viewed as the common enemy that affects all of us, irrespective of our status and social standing,” said Ngobeni.
