Spokesman takes activism message to malls

IN honour of the 16 days of activism, Brighton Beach SAP’s Captain Louise Le Roux campaigned to empower society’s most vulnerable.

On Thursday, 5 December, the communications officer united with Bluff shopping malls and security companies to distribute 2,000 brochures she created related to the enabling of women, children and the elderly.

“The purpose of the brochure was to empower them to minimise exposure to violent crimes, including abuse and sexual violation and to educate them on their rights,” said Le Roux.

“I am hopeful the recipients will spread the word to others, as I believe word of mouth educates individuals and with shared knowledge, comes empowerment.”

She thanks her partners involved in the public awareness campaign, including ADT, Tactical, Park Patrol and the management and tenants of the Hill Side Mall and Bluff Towers.
