Blood donors mark milestones
THE Southway Mall Blood Donor Centre, which serves the South Durban area, has two more milestone members, with 258 combined blood donations.
Mariemuthoo Moodley from Merebank was excited when he made his 153rd donation on Friday, 30 August, while Laurie Coetzee from Athlone Park graciously made his 105th on Tuesday, 1 October.
The centre urges more people to come forward, as their donations save many lives. Donors must be in good health, between 16 and 65, leading a sexually safe lifestyle and weigh more than 50kg. For information contact the centre on 031-459-0986.
