Bull’s eye for top shottists
SUCCESSFUL shooter Bluffite, Daniel Visser and his brother, Jonathan were the proud recipients of their South African Air Rifle Association (SAARA) colours on Saturday, 29 September.
The 50th annual championship was held in Klerksdorp from Thursday to Saturday, 26 to 29 September. Daniel, who was awarded his KZN colours for target shooting in August, was joined by his brother in the KZN team that travelled to the competition to compete in various events in a pool of 178 participants.
Daniel left the competition with a bronze medal in the U16 Springer individual competition and a silver medal in the 3P Springer competition with team mates Joshua Cronje, Joshua Garvie and Justin Rutlidge.
Both brothers were awarded their SA colours at a prize-gving ceremony on Saturday night – Jonathan in the U14 Springer category and Daniel in the U16 Springer. The KZN coastal team, of which they were members, was also named the top performing club within KZN.
