Women’s network hosts fun walk
Montclair SAP's women's network and men for change hosted a 5km fun run and walk on Thursday, 5 September at Woodlands Sports Club.
The walk was a tool to fundraise for the 51st International Association of Women Police (IAWP) training conference which will take place at the Durban ICC from 22 to 26 September.
The conference is a platform whereby women in policing are empowered. Mayville, Cato Manor, Jacobs, Garage and Wentworth police officers came out in their numbers to support the event.
“The event was a success, even though the weather was not playing its part. I thank all the members who supported us as well as the sponsors that helped in making the event a resounding success,” said Ntokozo Maluleka of Montclair SAP women’s network.
