Stolen Ipad lands women in dock

A Zimbabwean woman (28) charged with the possession of stolen property appeared in the Durban Magistrate's Court on Monday, 16 September.

The woman, who has also been charged with housebreaking and theft, was arrested by Montclair SAP on Friday, 13 September. Cst Nora Ndlovu, who arrested the woman said: “I received a call from a man who was a victim of theft, claiming he had tracked his Ipad to a house in Blamey Road.

I accompanied him to the residence and found the woman on the property. The woman was co-operative and agreed to have her property searched. During the search, I found the missing Ipad, along with other stolen items.”

Recovered items included a suitcase full of clothing, a laptop and eight cellphones. The woman was then taken into custody. Communications officer, Lt Leopold Jojozi applauds the officer for her diligence.
