Illegal alcohol went down the drain.

ABOUT 438 litres of illegal alcohol went down the drain on Tuesday, 23 July after the Brighton Beach SAP crime prevention unit and the national security intelligence department confiscated the liquor in South Durban.
Tests conducted on alcohol disguised as vodka, which was seized from a liquor outlet in the Brighton Beach policing area by the Brighton Beach SAP crime prevention unit showed it did not conform to prescribed standards.

In a second operation by the national security intelligence department, alcohol was found abandoned in Clairwood that tested positive for exceeding the alcohol content standard of 43%.
All the liquor was confiscated and destroyed after the Department of Agriculture performed its tests. Investigations are continuing.
