Child abuse posters garner prizes

Posters created in support of the fight against child abuse.

THREE pupils from Dirkie Uys Senior Primary School were honoured for posters they created in support of the fight against child abuse in partnership with Brighton Beach SAP.
During national Child Protection Week, Brighton Beach SAP communications officer, Capt Louise Le Roux presented a demonstration to the school on the rights and responsibilities of children and the signs of abuse. On Friday, 19 July Jeandré
Muller from grade 4, and Gugu Dlomo and Adin Hedew from grade 6 were awarded a gift certificate from CNA and a stationary gift pack from Staedtler for the posters they submitted in the police station’s competition.

“I would like to thank all the children for their participation as this competition was done on a volunteer basis,” wrote station commander, Col Carel Grobler to each child in a card.
