Standard Bank’s Noel Arjuna said the reason they chose to help children is was what Mandela was about. “We wanted to continue the legacy of Nelson Mandela who believed in helping the needy, especially children. We wanted to leave a footprint in their lives and hopefully one day they will remember this kindness and choose to leave a footprint in someone else’s life,” he said.

Patricia Dove from WOW, who nominated the families, said these are deserving people have been through a lot. “We want the community to see what these organisations are doing for them and we thank and appreciate these organisations,” said Dove.
