Green light for Bluff layby lanes
The project will ultimately improve the Bluff for us all
AFTER multiple complaints about congestion and an assessment by the eThekwini Transport Authority, Grays Inn Road has been approved for construction of two taxi or bus layby lanes by the city’s roads provision department.
The project, which is expected to take three months to complete, will see laybys constructed on the corner of Grays Inn Road and Aurora Road and Grays Inn and Gaansbaai Place.
Five local residents will perform work on the project and community liaison officer, Chris van Niekerk will update councillor JP Prinsloo’s office weekly about the project’s progress.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused during the course of the project. We appreciate the patience or motorists. The project will ultimately improve the Bluff for us all,” said Cllr Prinsloo.
Updates on the project will be posted on the Bluff Community Noticeboard Facebook page.
For more information contact JP Prinsloo’s ward councillor office on 031-467-0056.
