Bluff high school to host educational colleges at career evening

The school has decided to make the opportunity available to all in the community.

A CAREER evening for matriculants is coming to Grosvenor Boys High and the public is urged to join in on Thursday, 19 April in the school hall.

The school hosts the grade 12 careers evening annually, and with the array of tertiary study institutions which avail themselves at the event, the school has decided to make the opportunity available to all in the community.

From 6pm until 7.30pm, matriculants and even grade 9 pupils who need to make subject choices soon, will have over 20 different institutions from which they can source information about their post-matric study and career choices.

Among the colleges and universities on site will be the more skills-inclined options offered by TVET colleges.

For eager matriculants, CAO applications will be available at the event. The Hotel School, MUT, Richfield Graduate Institute of Technology, CTU, DUT, Durban Aviation Centre, MW Healthcare (affiliated with Allmed where carers can obtain jobs) and All Risk Management are some of the institutions which will be on hand. There will be an opportunity to win prizes sponsored by the various educational institutions, which include courses.

As there is no entry fee charged, Grosvenor Boys High hopes to attract as many community members as possible to this information-sharing event. Any other educational institutions and service providers which would like to have an exhibit at this event, call Mrs Naidoo at Grosvenor Boys High School on 031-466-3241 or email info@gbhs.co.za
