Clairwood love triangle sees man dodge bullets

He questioned his girlfriend about whether the two of them were dating

A LOVE triangle ended in violence when a man had to dodge bullets on Tuesday, 3 April in Clairwood.
According to the victim, at about 9.50pm, he was walking along Jagger Road when he noticed his girlfriend walking with another man in front of him.
“He approached them and questioned his girlfriend about whether the two of them were dating,” said Montclair spokesman, Capt Dereck Vijiam.

The man she was accompanied by got agitated and allegedly assaulted him before his girlfriend could answer the question. The man is alleged to have produced a gun from his trousers and fired a few shots at the heartbroken boyfriend, who ran towards a nearby house where he hid until his girlfriend and the man disappeared.

“The victim was not injured in the shooting but was extremely traumatised by the incident,” added Capt Vijiam.

The shooter’s identity is known to police, who are investigating.
