Five hurt in two weekend crashes on the Bluff

Two separate collisions on the Bluff at the weekend left five people with various injuries.

On Saturday evening, a single car left Beach Road and collided with an electricity pole and tree.

Two occupants were injured, one of whom sustained moderate injuries. Advanced life support paramedics stabilised the man before transporting both to a nearby hospital.

At about 6am on Sunday, 29 October,  Rescue Care paramedics assisted on Bluff Road just after the South Coast Road junction where two vehicles were involved in a rear-end collision.

Three people sustained various injuries and were stabilised before being transported to various hospitals for further care.

The events leading up to the collisions are unknown but police will investigate.
