Fireworks burns much-needed aid money

Better to see your money go up in smoke.

EDITOR – I feel all the money that was completely wasted on fireworks going up in smoke this year to provide entertainment for certain members of our community could have been much better spent on providing much-needed help and assistance to all those many local flash flood victims in the area who so desperately need food, clothes, assistance and lots of help.

But maybe some people do not think that way.

Better to see your money go up in smoke.

ANGELA PETERS

Ed’s note: Efforts to aid flood victims should be made every day by all who can help. It seems unfair to judge the observance of religious customs through the use of permitted fireworks during time periods allowed in the city’s bylaws, as a waste.
