Woodlands BC elects new committee
On Sunday, 24 September the club will be hosting their ‘Shirts and Skirts’

SATURDAY started off with a well attended AGM at Woodlands Bowling Club.
The committee elected is made up of president Linda Hewer, vice president Andy Cloete, treasurer Bill Hewer, secretary/competition secretary Lynn Carlyle and other committee members are Norman Moore and Neville Horner.
The AGM was followed by a lovely spread of snacks brought by the members and then two games of bowls were played.
The women’s drawn pairs took place between Gloria Rice and Linda Hewer against Rina Harper and Lynn Carlyle, and the men’s drawn pairs saw Tom Cloete and Bill Hewer go up against Harold Dix and Gavin Conlon. With the weather turning nasty and the wind blowing so strong, play was suspended to resume on another day. There was also a game of tabs in between Norman Moore and Andy Cloete against Eric Coetzee and Jason Hewer, where Norman and Andy were the victors.
